An Ombudsman is a one-stop shop for all Richland County issues - report stray dogs, damage to roads, overgrown lots, illegal dumping, sign requests and so much more!

Briarwood is located outside of city limits which means that a lot of our services are county including most road maintenance, Sheriff's Department, and property taxes.

SCE&G is the only electricity and gas provider available in Briarwood. Use this link to establish new service, view/report outages or pay your bill online.

Utilize the Waste Wizard to determine whether something can be recycled or not, print a calendar of services at your address or set up a text alert for services!

DID YOU KNOW? If you are having sewer issues, call ERCPSD 24/7 for quick response. They own a portion of the sewer line on your property and if the issue is on their end, they are responsible for it! That one call could save you $$!

Columbia is the capital of South Carolina. Although Briarwood is not within city limits, a lot of resources are available through the City of Columbia.

SC Emergency Management Division is a great resource to keep you informed of road closures, weather or natural disaster preparedness and recovery, and so much more!

Sesqui is a 1400+ acre State Park in Briarwood's backyard! It boasts a splash pad, 2 playgrounds, a lake with paddleboat and canoe rentals, walking, running and mountain biking trails, dog park, day shelters and tent/RV camping! Fees apply, annual State Park pass available for just $50!

Briarwood is home to two Richland2 campuses - Windsor Elementary and EL Wright Middle School. There are also 4 separate Magnet schools within those campuses that are lottery based - Center for Knowledge, International Baccalaureate World School for the Primary Years Programme, International Baccalaureate World School for the Middle Years Programme, Leadership Academy at Wright (LAW).

Richland County Libraries are a fantastic resource for all ages. Most all their locations are newly built or newly remodeled. They boast a modern look, great online resources, selection and convenience.

Riverbanks Zoo and Garden is home to more than 2,000 magnificent and fascinating animals and one of the nation's most beautiful and inspiring botanical gardens. The lush 170-acre site features dynamic natural habitat exhibits, scenic river views, spectacular valley overlooks and significant historic landmarks.
