Briarwood Neighborhood has just over 600 homes in Northeast Columbia, SC. Most the homes were built in the early 1970's on oversized lots. The neighborhood backs to Sesquicentennial State Park. Briarwood boasts unbelievably easy access to both I-20 and I-77. Downtown is only 15 minutes away, and Fort Jackson just a 10 minute drive down I-77. The ever growing Sandhills shopping area is less than 10 minutes away!

The Briarwood Neighborhood Association (BNA) was created to give Briarwood residents greater awareness and an opportunity to provide input regarding issues such as security, regulations and responsibilities needed to ensure that our neighborhood is a safe, attractive and congenial place to live. Since its inception, BNA has broadened its scope by establishing and maintaining communication within the neighborhood and with state, county and local agencies such as the Richland County Sheriff Department to ensure that neighborhood residents are cognizant of current regulations and responsibilities. As a result of this liaison, we believe that all residents of Briarwood have a voice and an avenue to become involved in the affairs of our cherished neighborhood in order to contribute to its improvement.

In order for our neighborhood to remain a safe, secure and pleasant community in which to live, we must all share in a commitment to maintain and improve its status. We look forward to any feedback you might want to give and we encourage you to contact us if you should have questions or comments. Additionally, in order to continue to be an effective Neighborhood Association, we need the support of all residents and we encourage you to support the BNA by joining if you are not a current member.
